Innovations In Drumming: The Pearl Drum Rack
One of the most important developments in drumming of the past few years has been the drum rack. Drum racks allow drummers to consolidate their drum hardware, such as cymbal stands and tom mounts, in to one easy to assemble, convenient setup. In addition, drum racks have also become very popular because the cost of one drum rack is typically less than that of the same number of drum and cymbal stands.
Drum racks will not replace all of your current hardware- you will still need a snare drum stand, bass drum pedal, and hi-hat stand, but they will do a great job of reducing the overall mess of your drum set and make it easier to fit your drums into a tight corner or on a small stage. For these reasons, many, if not most, professional drummers are using drum racks now as opposed to traditional cymbal stands and tom mounts.
Probably the best drum rack on the market today is the Pearl drum rack. Pearl drum racks are probably the most durable out of all of the different models, as they are custom built at the Pearl Drums factories in Japan, and are manufactured with the same quality of metals as cymbal stands. These drum racks offer a few different varieties, depending on what type of drum set you are working with.
If you play with just a small, five-piece drum set, I’d recommend using the standard, two-sided pearl drum rack. This one will give you plenty of options for mounting your crash cymbals and toms, although you may still need to bring a ride cymbal stand, depending on what kind of angle you are used to playing at. The three-sided straight, and three-sided curved drum rack models are perfect for a drummer with a huge drum set, such as Neil Peart from Rush. If you play with a larger-than-average- drum set, I would recommend going with one of the larger drum racks, as it will give you more room to mount your equipment. Very soon, some Pearl Drum sets will be released with drum racks as part of their standard hardware setup, because they are becoming so much more popular than traditional stands. Until that time, if you have the money to invest in your drum setup, I would definitely recommend using some of it to switch to a drum rack.

The Beauty of a Woodwind Clarinet
When your children are in private or public school, they are normally required to learn how to play an instrument in their band, orchestra or school. Since boys will always be boys, they would most likely go towards playing the drums or any instrument that demands banging. Meanwhile, girls could go for delicate instruments such as a woodwind clarinet or flutes.
However, what if your daughter has asthma or problems with their lungs? Do note that the woodwind clarinet is the best choice for those who have no asthma or any health issue. Be aware that studies reveal that asthma need to be properly treated prior to beginning any lessons in clarinet as it could help make the lungs strong.
If your child is very much interested with symphonic orchestras, clarinets are good instruments to get her started. If she does discover that the woodwind clarinet is not to her liking, she can play brass instruments. Samples of brass instruments include a tuba. Besides brass instruments, particular orchestras possess string instruments such as violin or cello. She could similarly try other types of woodwind instruments or percussion instruments. Be aware that there are many instruments which your child could engage in that is if she really dreams to be included in a beautiful symphonic orchestra.
But how exactly are clarinets played? Woodwind instruments such as a clarinet usually consist of a reed or two. The instrument is also shaped like a tube. Also, a lot of the clarinets have tubular curves where various sounds come from. Before your daughter can play the clarinet, she needs to place a reed in the mouthpiece. Once positioned properly, she can start blowing as well as moving her fingers in order to play notes. Do not forget that the placement of the fingers is very important in order to get the notes to sound correctly. Also, she needs to practice her scales constantly if she wants to be a good music student.
All in all, clarinets are amazing instruments for those who have very good eye and hand coordination. If you have these qualities, you will be a natural clarinet player. If you are bad, do not fret. You can be perfect as long as you make it a point to practice.
You should take a look at Vito clarinet or Yamaha clarinet.
